The Log House

	When DAPI was asked to get involved in the Ghost Walk, the Log House is the first building in Downingtown we investigated. The Log House was built around 1705, so it has been standing watch over Downingtown for over 300 years. We at DAPI like to think about the history of a structure when we investigate because it lets us know what the structure has been through.  The Log House has stood through the French and Indian War, The Revolutionary War, and became an integral part of the underground railroad during the Civil War. It has also watched as Downingtown became a haven for travelers moving from Lancaster to Philadelphia. Most importantly it stood watch as all of today's industry built up around it. We at DAPI think that is a pretty impressive heritage for one building.
The first room in the Log House we investigated was the living room. In this room we had a very interesting conversation with a man who claimed to be a Revolutionary War soldier. We were using dowsing rods, and with them we asked him to point the rods to where he was standing in the room. Interestingly enough when we went through our evidence, we found this picture of an orb exactly in the location he said he was standing. If you watch all of the TV shows you know that orbs can be controversial.  It is said that orbs are either dust, insects, pollen, or lens flairs, and we agree with that about 95% of the time. There is however that 5% that studies have shown could indicate paranormal activity. Orbs are judged on the size, shape, texture, the color, some have tails, and some are in motion. All of the orbs you see presented by DAPI have passed our criteria for being paranormal. The soldier was unaware that he was in a house, he told use that he was standing in a field. Interesting to us because the log house wasn't moved to its current location until 1986, so he may have been standing in a field in his own time and space. We collected 2 EVPs in this room also. In the first one you will hear the  investigator make a comment and then you will hear another voice say, what we think is "REALLY" In this EVP you will hear the Investigator say "thank you" and you will also hear another voice say "thank you" like it was imitating her.
	Next we moved to the second floor, at the top of the steps we were presented with a choice to go into the room on the left or the room on the right. As we were discussing where to go the door to the room on the left screeched closed right in our faces, all most letting us know that we were not to go in this room. Naturally this is where we decided to go first. Once we entered the room Dawn felt as if there was something in the back right corner. Our Medium confirmed that an old man sits in the corner of that room and moves back and forth to the window to look out.   In the pictures to the left you will see the door that closed on us with an orb above it. Also, notice that the door and the ceiling abut an must be pushed with some force to be opened or closed. In the picture below that is the outside of the house, take notice to the orb near the window the old man likes to look out from. We collected 3 EVPs from this room.
This last one is unique because we all heard this one in real time with our own ears. You will hear Dawn comment and then a small whisper that we think says "could you go upstairs".  After that you will hear us accusing each other of whispering, which is something we never do during an EVP session specifically for this reason.
So If having a door slammed in our faces and hearing an EVP Live wasn't enough, we went into the last room.  In the picture to the right take a look at the upper right window pane. You can see the image of what we think is either an African American or Native American girl reflecting in the glass, Brandon was the only person in the room at the time. Finally the question now becomes, do you think there is enough evidence to say that there is paranormal activity in the log house and we at DAPI say yes, there is.
